ITTC AC Chairman Dr. Gerhard Strasser visited CSSRC on 9th Octorber
posted on: 2012-10-15 page views: 1021Invited by CSSRC, ITTC AC Chairman Dr. Gerhard Strasser visited CSSRC on 9th Oct, received a warmly welcome from Dr. Zhenping Weng, the director from CSSRC.
During the meeting, Dr. Weng first had a thorough introduction of CSSRC and later Dr. Zhou delivered an excellent report about greenship technology, Dr. Strasser was impressed by the rapid development of CSSRC and gave his advice on CSSRC’s future development orientation. He also shared his experience on greenship technology research and had a technical discussion with our engineers.
After the meeting, accompanied by Dr. Weng, Dr. Strasser visited some of our typical laboratories including deep-water towing tank, seakeeping basin, low-speed wind tunnel, cavitation tunnel and large cavitation channel. Dr. Strasser gave a high credit to our test facilities and expressed a high expectation on CSSRC to reach to next high level.
