The Chinese Journal of Hydrodynamics is a unique academic journal of science and technology. Series A (Chinese journal) started publication in 1986, while Series B (English journal: Journal of Hydrodynamics) started publication in 1989. Both are bimonthly journals with different contents. Series A is included in Scopus, while Series B is included in Scopus, EI and SCI. The sponsor is China Ship Scientific Research Center, and the competent organization is China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited. The sponsor, together with research institutions, colleges and universities related to hydrodynamics at home and abroad, forms a consortium to raise funds and collect ideas. At present, there are more than 100 member units in the consortium.

The Shipbuilding of China started publication in September 1948. It is the first scientific journal of shipbuilding in China, publishing academic papers on ship and marine engineering with certain inventiveness and combination of theory and practice. The competent organization is China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, the sponsor is Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, and the organizer is China Ship Scientific Research Center. The Shipbuilding of China is a quarterly journal, with 4 regular issues and 1~2 supplementary issues every year.

The Shipbuilding of China is a national scientific and technological core journal. It is also the source journal of Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database, the full-text journal of China Academic Journals Full-text Database, the journal included in China Science and Technology Journal Database (full-text edition), and the source journal of Chinese Science Abstracts. In 2004, it was selected into Database of Outstanding Science &Technology Journals of China from 8000 journals in China Academic Journals Full-text Database (500 journals in China were selected). At the same time, the Shipbuilding of China is also included in the Dutch Abstract and Citation Database, JST and EI Compendex.

Journal of Ship Mechanics started publication in 1997. It is a professional academic journal jointly sponsored by China Ship Scientific Research Center and Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, and is published at home and abroad. Its purpose is to disseminate and accumulate science and technology, and achievements in ship and marine engineering mechanics, promote the exchange of science and technology and the transformation of achievements, drive the development of disciplines, and serve the national economy, and scientific research and production. This journal mainly publishes academic papers involving innovative scientific research achievements and research progress in the fields of fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, fluid and structural acoustics in ship and marine engineering.

This journal is included in Chinese core journal, core scientific and technological journal in China, a core academic journal in China (RCCSE), and EI Compendex. In 2014, it was rated as one of Outstanding Science & Technology Journals of China and hundreds of Chinese outstanding academic journals. This journal publishes papers in Chinese and English. Contributions from scholars at home and abroad will be appreciated.
