106-Hour Manned Test of Movable Mine Rescue Cabin Successful
posted on: 2012-10-25 page views: 932A movable mine rescue cabin, jointly developed by CSSRC and Kailuan Coal Mine, successfully completed its 106-hour manned test on Oct. 19, 2012, which is the first manned mine rescue cabin approved by National Center for Mine Product Safety Signs in Hebei province.
With the dimension of 9.82m (L) x 1.9m (H) x 1.5m (W), the rescue cabin can accommodate 8 people with a rated life-supporting time of 96 hrs (Max. 120hrs). Equipped with food, drinking water, oxygen, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, emergency lighting and excrement collector, the rescue cabin can provide the living necessities for the victims within, resist a second explosion shock and enable the victims to stay longer before being rescued.
