CSSRC has successfully conducted application training of Ship 3-D Hydro-elastic Acoustics Analytic Software “Thafts-Acoustic1.0” for the second batch of 10 clients from various institutes of CSIC in Wuxi in June. The training has covered the 3-D hydro-elastic acoustic theory, software use, software modeling, setting of boundary conditions and computation. Practical operation was also performed at CSSRC Information and Technology Laboratory.

The core calculation code of Thafts-Acoustic1.0 has been based on ship 3-D acoustic elasticity theory and developed on the basis of the 3-D hydro-elastic analytic software Thafts. Having experienced numerical calculations, model experiments, full-scale hull section tests, full-scale ship data measurement and many other tests and verifications, Thafts-Acoustic1.0 has become a useful tool and technical means for verification and optimization of surface and submerged ship acoustic designs and acoustic performance and for research and analysis of vibration and noise mechanism, It has resulted in an outstanding significance that such a software has been used in the research and technological breakthroughs of five types of underwater ships.  Enlarging the scope of the software use is to strengthen the practical application of technical achievements and push forward the further development of ship vibration-and noise-reduction applied technologies.

Thafts-Acoustic 1.0 will be extended and upgraded to Thafts-Acoustic 1.1 after incorporation of feedbacks and proposals from clients.
