Recently, the first international standard in the field of submersibles- “hydrostatic pressure test method for pressure hull and buoyancy materials of submersibles” (ISO 21173:2019), which was chaired and formulated by CSSRC, has been officially published.           

This standard is applicable to hydrostatic test of pressure resistant hull and buoyancy materials of manned and unmanned submersibles in different working depths. It is the coordination and unification of relevant technical standards and classification society specifications of various countries, and embodies the research and development achievements and experience of CSSRC’s deep sea equipment.

Since the establishment of the ISO Working Group on submersibles in 2015, 21 experts    from six countries have participated in the meeting by the convention and promotion of CSSRC. The working group will continue to promote international standards related to submersibles.
