Cooperative Research & Development

Relying on domestic and oversea’s scientific research cooperation platforms, CSSRC have established close academic exchanges and technical cooperation relations with nearly 100 universities, research institutes and academic groups in the world, covering United States, Britain, France, Russia, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, Norway and other countries. We constantly carry out in-depth technological innovation activities, and take technological innovation as the cornerstone that ensures our survival and development. In recent years, we have imported advanced equipment, such as portable stress analyzer, ship stability analysis software and electromagnetic vibration table. To reach the international advanced level, we actively introduce, digest and absorb foreign advanced technologies and ideas, striving to improve technological innovation.

In recent years, we take talents introduction and exchange as a crucial task to improve core competitiveness, and continue to promote scientific and technological innovation and improve scientific research through talents introduction and exchange. To ensure advanced technical level, we absorb advanced technology by participating in academic meetings, exhibitions and various media, keeping us up-to-date to cutting-edge technology and industry information. Performing talents introduction based on specialized technologies proves effective in the research of special programs, such as the key technology of ice model basin construction and the 2nd generation of intact stability criterion of ships.

Moreover, talents introduction is carried out in combination with other international cooperation work, so as to maximize its effectiveness. At present, we have established good cooperative relations with more than 20 world-renowned research institutes, universities and classification societies, and built a long-term cooperation mechanism with them.

We are the first Chinese institute that enters two academic organizations in the international ship industry—ITTC (International Towing Tank Conference) and ISSC (International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress). Now, we have become a major member unit of the two organizations and enjoy good academic reputation in the world. Many of our experts serve as representatives of China in IMO to promote research achievements, so as to promote and participate in the formulation of international rules and gain more voice in the international arena.
