The first meeting of the 27th ITTC Detailed Flow Measurement Techniques Committee (DFMTC) was held in Shanghai Branch of CSSRC from 26th to 27th March 2012. On 26th morning, the delegates came from Shanghai to visit CSSRC, received a warmly welcome from our Director of CSSRC, Dr. Weng Zhenping. Later accompanied by Dr. Zhao Feng, our Deputy Chief Engineer of CSSRC, the DFMT experts visited Towing Tank, Large Cavitation Channel, Cavitation Tunnel and Stratified Fluid Towing Tank, and gave a high credit to our outstanding hydrodynamics test condition and basic scientific-research capability. Later in afternoon, the delegates came back to Shanghai and held a short meeting about the Proposed Agenda for the first meeting of the 27th ITTC DFMTC.
The formal meeting was held on 27th, through intensely discussion, DFMTC members got the same idea about the main work of DFMTC, for example, providing two benchmarks test, one is about two dimensions, and the other is about three dimensions, which will enhance the cooperation with the CFD committee to bring into play the validation. At the end of the meeting, they exported the guidelines of DFMTC, and the first meeting of 27th DFMTC held in CSSRC was very successful.
