Invited by CSSRC, Principal Appoponov and Vice-principal Rozhdestvensky from State Marine Technical University of St. Petersburg came to visit CSSRC on 20th June. Firstly, they visited some of our laboratories like Ship Structure Laboratory, Underwater Structure Laboratory, Cavitation Channel, Towing Tank and See-keeping Basin, and both gave a high credit to our advanced test equipment and matured test technology.

Later, Principal Appoponov and Vice-principal Rozhdestvensky had a technical exchange with our Director of CSSRC, Prof. Weng and our technicians. Principal Appolonov firstly expressed his thanks to CSSRC’s invitation, and then he introduced some technical research orientation and talent exchange of SMTU and answered some questions brought up by our technicians. Prof. Weng also expressed his willingness to enhance the technical cooperation between SMTU and CSSRC, and brought up some aspects like LNG/CNG material, structure that CSSRC would like to cooperate with. The whole exchange was very successful.

It’s the first time that Principal Appolonov visited CSSRC, and this visit would further enrich our content of cooperation with SMTU.
