Recently, the propeller and energy-saving guide wheel of the 400,000t VLOC, designed by CSSRC, have successfully finished assessments in the way of cavitation tests conducted in SSPA. This marks a quantum leap of commercial ship’s independent development on hydrodynamic energy-saving device and large-scaled propeller localization efforts continuously supported by “High Technology Ship Research Program” of the China Ministry of Industry & Information. In addition, it ensures a smooth delivery of ships for our shipyard.

In recent years, CSSRC has overcome foreign technology blockade and come to the forefront of the world with regards to design and innovation of large propellers and hydrodynamic ESDs. The large propellers and hydrodynamic ESDs’ have won more than 50% domestic market share, and was applauded by shipyards, design institutes and ship owners.
