CSSRC researchers attended the 14th Manned Submersible Symposium in the USA

Recently, two CSSRC researchers attended the 14th Manned Submersible Symposium held in New Orleans, USA at the invitation of Manned Submersible Committee of Marine Technology Society (MTS).

The conference attracted participants from various countries majoring in manned submersible research. Nearly 30 special reports were presented covering latest developments of “Shinkai 6500”, “Deepflight”, “Seamagine”, “Cyclops”, “Trition” and other world-renowned manned submersibles, as well as their applications, submersible class rules, high pressure sealing, propeller, pressure vessel human occupied (PVHO) specifications update, etc. CSSRC researchers presented three special reports, i.e., "ADS development", "Sea trials of “Huan Dao Jiaolong” passenger submersible" and "Operator training and assessment of “Huan Dao Jiaolong” passenger submersible". CSSRC reports had drawn many researchers’ attention, some of whom conducted in-depth communications with our researchers.

By participating in the symposium, CSSRC researchers got to understand the state-of-the-art of manned diving technology and submersibles’ latest development in the world. What’s more, CSSRC enhanced its international popularity and influence in manned diving technology and submersible.
