The 28th International Ocean and Polar Engineering Conference ISOPE-2018 was held in Sapporo, Japan. The conference was an important international academic conference in the marine industry, including the research field of ice-related equipment. All the academic papers had been strictly reviewed, including nearly 50 papers on ice-related field. Researcher Mr.Tian Yukui and Senior Engineer Mr. Ji Shaopeng, representing the ice technology team of CSSRC, were invited to attend the meeting. It was the second time that CSSRC took part in international academic exchanges in the field of ice technology after attending the 24th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions in 2017 (POAC-2017) last year. The two delegates made relevant academic reports, and actively communicated with other participants, learning from the advanced experience of their peers and listening to their valuable opinions.
Actively participating in the high-level international conference is conducive to continuously tracking the latest research achievements in the field of ice-related technology, understanding the current research level and technical capability of the ice-related technology industry, grasping the research progress and development trend of international ice-related technology, helping to learn from the advanced industry, broadening research ideas, and promoting the basic and key technology research work of polar/ice-related ships and marine engineering.
