On August 10, Dr. Derek Novak, Senior Vice President of ABS, who was responsible for the global R&D work of ABS, visited CSSRC. Dr. Derek Novak first introduced the main development directions and objectives and the latest R&D work layout of ABS, and he said that one of the purposes of this visit was to prepare for the future adjustment of R&D work of ABS in order to better serve the Chinese market. CSSRC introduced the research and development of green ships. The two sides discussed and exchanged the EEDI certification, the development and verification of the second generation stability software, the radiated noise measurement certification of civil ships, the compilation and certification of energy-saving equipment, the design and certification of sightseeing submarines, and the joint participation in industrial cooperation projects.
It had been the third visit for ABS to CSSRC since May this year. Both sides showed that they would continue to promote cooperation and implementation between CSSRC and ABS in related fields.
