The 8^th International Conference on Hydroelasticity in Marine Technology was successfully held in Seoul National University, South Korea from September 10^th to 12^th. Many famous universities and research institutes from China, UK, France, Japan, South Korea, Italy and Germany attended the conference. Academician Wu Yousheng and Professor W.G Price from the University of Southampton were invited to give special reports.

In the conference, Academician Wu made a report in regards to the development and application of three-dimensional hydroelasticity theory and three-dimensional acoustic elasticity theory, and detailed introduced the continuous development and latest achievements in the field of hydroelasticity research of China Ship Scientific Research Center. Other six engineers from CSSRC all introduced their work in related technical fields and had full exchanges and discussions with international experts on hydroelastic mechanics.

The academic exchange at the international conference fully demonstrated the technical strength of CSSRC, and further consolidating its position as an important force in the international study of hydroelastic mechanics, and expanding its international influence.
