CSSRC successfully got the bid to host the 7th International Symposium on Marine Propulsors

On May 29, Prof. Kourosh Koushan, the Chairman of International Symposium on Marine Propulsors committee, officially announced in Rome, that China Ship Scientific Research Center successfully got the bid to host the 7th International Symposium on Marine Propulsors (SMP), the 7th SMP will be held on May 16 ~ 20, 2021 in Wuxi.

SMP meeting is a professional academic conference in the field of international ship propeller, the first SMP meeting was held in Trondheim, Norway in 2009, held once every two years thereafter, providing a communication platform for the latest research results and R&D of new type propeller design in regards to the current international ship propeller, and it has become an important international academic conference.

In recent years, CSSRC has actively participated in international bidding for propeller design, international industrial cooperation project of propeller and international joint research project, and has gradually emerged in the field of international ship propeller, with close exchanges and cooperation with the international ship propeller industry. The 7th SMP conference will be held in Asia for the first time. The successful bid to host this conference will be of great significance to promote the technical exchange and development of ship propeller in China and even in the world. The holding of this meeting will certainly enhance CSSRC’s comprehensive strength of the ship propeller, and to consolidate and further improve the international position of CSSRC in this field, so as to better support the innovation of advantageous disciplines and the development of cutting-edge technologies.
