On September 11, the Standing Committee of the International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress, ISSC was held in Houston, the United States. Upon the vote of all members participating in the conference, China Ship Scientific Research Center successfully won the right to host the 22^nd International Ship and Offshore Structure Congress (ISSC) in 2024. The 22^nd International Ship and Offshore Structure Congress will be held in Wuxi, China in September 2024.

Founded in 1961, ISSC conference is one of the most authoritative academic organizations in the international ship industry, which has a profound impact on the development of the international ship and marine structure industry. The conference is held every three years, and the representatives almost include the outstanding experts and well-known scholars in the field of international ship and marine structure. Since China's shipbuilding academia officially entered the ISSC in 1979, China Ship Scientific Research Center, as the domestic leading unit of the ISSC, has been active in the organization and played an important role in the organization.

The hosting of this conference will further enhance China's comprehensive strength in the field of ships and marine structures, consolidate and improve China's international position in the field of ships, so as to better support the innovation of advantageous disciplines and the development of cutting-edge technologies, promote the international development of CSSRC and expand its international influence.
