The highest level international conference will take place in CSSRC in 2024.

The University of Clyde has hosted the First International Conference on the Stability of Ships and Ocean Vehicles online from June 7 to 11, 2021. As the chairman of the Second International Conference on the Stability of Ships and Ocean Vehicles 2024, Prof.He Chunrong, director of CSSRC has delivered a welcome speech and successfully undertook the right to host the second STAB2024. The highest level International Conference on the Stability of Ships and Ocean Vehicles will be held in Wuxi, China in September 2024.

In the conference, three academic papers from CSSRC has been exchanged, including the research on the new instability motion mode in waves, the prediction method of viscous flow and potential flow for large-scale rolling motion in cross wind and cross wave, and the prediction method of viscous potential coupling for damaged ship motion. They have been positively responded by experts and scholars attending the meeting and have received unanimously recognized and praised.

So far, CSSRC has continuously participated in 9 international stability conferences and seminars, and has published more than 100 papers in journals and conferences. Through international scientific cooperation, it has achieved world-class research results in the study of ship integrity and damage stability, and established an international academic position in the study of ship stability. It has laid a foundation for successfully hosting the Second International Conference on the Stability of Ships and Ocean Vehicles in 2024.
